Zero Waste Strategic Implementation Plans RFI

The Marin County Hazardous and Solid Waste Management Joint Powers Authority is soliciting information from qualified and experienced firms who have developed Zero Waste Strategic Implementation Plans. The intent of this RFI is to gather information on services of environmental consulting companies, ideally with government experience, and to assess the effectiveness of current JPA programs and the feasibility and cost of implementing a Zero Waste Strategic Plan. The information will be used to assist in defining the JPA’s Zero Waste goals and to possibly develop a strategic plan. The goal is to increase the diversion of materials from the landfill to meet an 80% diversion goal by 2012 and Zero Waste by 2025, ensure that resources are used to their highest potential, reduce upstream waste, and reduce Marin’s ecological footprint.

All responses are due by March 31, 2008. Late responses will not be accepted.
